Parish staff remember ‘Sr. Boss’ Sr. Rosánne Spalding
Sr. Rosánne Spalding, OSU, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 62nd year of religious life at the age of 80. Ever joyful, Sister Rosanne’s life was devoted to leading people to Jesus, especially preparing children and adults to receive the sacraments. She made beautiful quilts to benefit her community.
St. William hosts CPR classes

Trivia night at Our Lady of Lourdes helps fundraise for parish needs
On April 15, 2023, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Owensboro sponsored its first annual Trivia Night. In the fall 2022, Fr. Pat Reynolds, pastor, had suggested the idea to a group of parishioners as a way to raise funds and to promote fellowship in the parish.

On March 12, 28 youth and their families and various others gathered at Sts. Joseph and Paul in Owensboro in front of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, to offer a Holy Hour of Adoration in intercession for our young people.

The Knights of Columbus Hardinsburg Council #2499, along with the St. Romuald Altar Society, teamed up to provide a donation of $1,000 to two soon-to-be-ordained seminarians of the diocese.

Tri-parish community surprises pastor for his birthday
Fr. John Okoro wants our churches, St. Francis Borgia in Sturgis, St. Ambrose in Henshaw, and St. William of Vercelli in Marion, to do more together as a tri-parish. His birthday seemed like the perfect time to start.
