Sts. Joseph and Paul Parish hosts youth holy hour
BY LAURA SHOULDERS, SPECIAL TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY CATHOLIC
On March 12, 28 youth and their families and various others gathered at Sts. Joseph and Paul in Owensboro in front of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, to offer a Holy Hour of Adoration in intercession for our young people. The holy hour began as youth were invited forward to place their cell phones in a basket in front of the altar before sitting on the floor in front of Him. Two youth, RC Porter and Brooklynn Rednour, led us in songs of worship throughout the holy hour. The time of prayer was a combination of guided reflection and silent meditation as the youth were encouraged to engage in personal dialogue with Jesus, surrendering to Him their worries and concerns, and asking Him to teach them how to cooperate with His perfect plans for their lives.
