On Sept. 12, 2026, St. John the Evangelist Parish celebrated the momentous occasion of its 65th annual parish picnic. The picnic served food from 12 noon to 7 p.m., and included a raffle, live music, fireworks and bingo, among many favorite picnic activities. St. John’s pastor, Fr. Bruce Fogle, celebrated a closing Mass for the picnic at 8:45 p.m. that evening, during which the parish community thanked God for his blessings upon their picnic.

The dinner entrance is shown, as is the start of bingo, during St. John the Evangelist Parish’s Sept. 12, 2026 picnic. It was the Paducah parish’s 65th picnic. COURTESY OF ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST
