New sanctuary floor in Union County
BY ETHAN MARTIN AND HOLLI JO CORLEY, SPECIAL TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY CATHOLIC
Under advisement of Fr. Brandon Williams, co-coordinator of the Diocese of Owensboro’s Office of Worship, and the support of our new pastor, Fr. Jojy Joseph, St. Ambrose in Henshaw was overjoyed to announce that their sanctuary floor is fully refurbished.
We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who made this possible. Special appreciation goes to Max Belt of Max’s Custom Completions for his dedicated hard work in removing the old floor, leveling the floor joists, and laying the new subfloor; and to Hunter Nalley of Hunter’s Hardwood Floors, for his skilled craftsmanship in installing the new and beautiful hardwood flooring. We are also profoundly grateful to the Kentucky Heritage Council for awarding St. Ambrose Parish the America 250 KY Grant, whose support made this restoration a reality.
May this renewed space continue to reflect God’s goodness and serve as a place of prayer, peace, and community for generations to come as it has since 1832.
