The next Retrouvaille weekend will take place in Nashville from Aug. 30-Sept. 1, 2024. COURTESY OF NASHVILLE RETROUVAILLE
A marriage lifeline: Retrouvaille weekend for struggling couples begins Aug. 30
BY DCN. TONY CARMONA, SPECIAL TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY CATHOLIC
My wife, Ana, and I are coordinators of Retrouvaille in Nashville, Tenn., which is a program for married couples experiencing difficulties in their marriage. We belong to St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Oak, Grove, Ky., and I was ordained for the Diocese of Owensboro in 2021.
We currently do not offer Retrouvaille weekends in our diocese, but we do regularly refer couples to weekends in Nashville. (The diocese’s Office of Marriage & Family Life will happily help with travel expenses if you’re committed to attending; learn more at https://owensborodiocese.org/marriage-help.)
Retrouvaille helps couples restore their marriage and rebuild a loving relationship, and is a Christian marriage program, Catholic in origin, which couples of all faiths or no faith background are encouraged to attend. It is primarily a practical program to improve communication, build stronger marriages, and help couples reconnect. Presenters are not trained marriage counselors, but rather couples sharing their personal stories of marital struggles and the tools they used to rediscover their love.
The Nashville community is having the next Retrouvaille weekend Aug. 30 to Sept. 1, 2024. To register for the weekend, click here.
