Transformed and blessed prayer garden at Blessed Mother

BY PATTY WOERTER, SPECIAL TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY CATHOLIC

Transformed and blessed! The prayer garden at Blessed Mother Parish in Owensboro needed some much-needed attention. With the vision of parish maintenance mechanic Jeff Payne and his team of volunteers, the garden experienced a complete transformation. A new statue of Mary was added and that inspired Jeff to create a permanent rosary constructed of stones. Once installed, it looked like Mary approved and blessed his work as rays of light shown down upon the center of the newly-installed rosary.

After the prayer garden at Blessed Mother Parish in Owensboro was refreshed and completed, a sunbeam shone through the area. COURTESY OF BLESSED MOTHER PARISH
