Holy Family statue blessed in honor of family’s legacy of faith

Parishioners of St. Mary Magdalene Parish in Sorgho, gathered on a hot, steamy evening on June 22, 2025 for a Corpus Christi procession to the nearby church cemetery on Highway 56. While at the cemetery, pastor Fr. Jamie Dennis blessed the Holy Family statue that was recently donated to the cemetery by the Byrne family. The Holy Family statue was donated in honor of Joan and J.L. Byrne for their dedication to faith and family, by their daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
