Rose Wheeler, director of religious education at Holy Name of Jesus Parish in Henderson, shared that their parish had “an amazing VBS (Vacation Bible School) this year.”
“We planned it to be all outside so we did not have to limit participation,” said Wheeler.
Parents and grandparents were welcome to attend the closing Mass. Wheeler said the comments of those present were encouraging, emotional and humbling.
One grandmother said, “This is what it is all about!”
Wheeler said that “adults lead youth; youth lead children; and we all come to Jesus!”
