Palm Sunday at St. Stephen Cathedral

BY WKC STAFF

Bishop William F. Medley presided at the 11 a.m. Palm Sunday Mass on March 24, 2024, at St. Stephen Cathedral in Owensboro, which is the mother church for the Diocese of Owensboro. Palm Sunday begins Holy Week in the Catholic Church, which is the holiest of all weeks in the liturgical calendar.

As is Church tradition, during the reading of the Passion account on Palm Sunday, the faithful at St. Stephen Cathedral kneel when the words are read “Jesus gave a loud cry and breathed his last” on March 24. RILEY GREIF | WKC
