Sts. Joseph & Paul host Freedom 5K
BY ST. JOSEPH AND PAUL PARISH, SPECIAL TO THE WESTERN KENTUCKY CATHOLIC
Sts. Joseph and Paul Parish in Owensboro held its first ever Freedom 5K on Saturday, July 9, 2022.
The focus of this fundraiser was to support our mission to equip disciples and build community. The race began and ended in our parking lot and extended through our parish boundaries. The family-friendly event that invited runners, walkers, individuals and families was well-attended with 99 registered runners. Participants’ ages ranged from babies in strollers to 70-years-old – and we even had a runner from New York!
We are looking forward to hosting the Freedom 5K on an annual basis. Next year’s race date is Saturday, July 8, 2023. All are welcome!
